Krispy Kreme to the rescue, Releases new conversation heart doughnuts
Krispy Kreme releases Valentine's Day conversation heart doughnuts on the heals of the Sweetheart candy shortage announcement.
Just when we thought Valentine's Day was going to be a complete bust because of the missing sweetheart candies, Krispy Kreme comes to the rescue like a knight in shining armor!
Major shout-out goes to Krispy Kreme who must have heard all of our complaining about the conversation heart candy shortage because they've come out with conversation heart doughnuts to celebrate the Valentine’s Day season. Although it could be a complete timing coincidence, I'd like to think that they just made the decision to take up the mantle. LOL!
Here’s what they said in their official press release,
"With a shortage of candy conversation hearts expected this Valentine season, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is showing America just how CRAZY 4 U we are by introducing Valentine 'Conversation Doughnuts.'
Krispy Kreme’s all-new Valentine Conversation Doughnuts are topped with more than a dozen new and traditional edible phrases, including 'DM ME,' 'ALL THE FEELS,' and 'BE MINE.' The conversation gets even sweeter since the doughnuts feature four Krispy Kreme classic fillings – Cake Batter, Strawberries & KREME™, Raspberry Filled and Chocolate KREME™ Filled."
This announcement is super exciting on so many levels! First, I think that it’s pretty adorable that they decided to keep the conversation heart tradition going, especially since the heart candies will be missing this season as we discussed in the previous post here.
Secondly, I think it’s very cool that they're using new trendy phrases in addition to the classic phrases that we’ve seen on the candies in past years. Finally, the icing on the doughnut is that on February 6, Krispy Kreme reward members actually get a FREE conversation doughnut as a part of the rewards program. So, if you're not a member then I would definitely encourage you to become one by February 6 so you can get in on that FREE doughnut on Wednesday.
The limited edition conversation heart doughnuts are available from January 30th until Valentine's Day. So, make sure you hit up your neighborhood Krispy Kreme and get in on that tasty, sugary goodness before its too late!
